As a work-from-home mom, the kids going back to school means a quiet house to sit and work a solid chunk of uninterrupted time and like a million percent increased productivity. However, it also means an early wake up time, homework, and the craziness of three different after school activities (typically ending up getting scheduled on the same nights at the same time) starting up again. Therefore, this year especially, I had a love/hate relationship with school starting back. Regardless of my feelings, it had to happen, and the kids entertained me another year *without complaining one.single.time* with a back to school photo sesh in the basement AND on the porch (because, duh, is it really the first day of school if you don’t document it on the porch?!).
…and also, this is the first year where all three are in uniforms for school, and I seriously cannot handle the cuteness that is those collard shirts and khakis **insert ALL the heart eyes!**
I especially love all of their teachers this year, and I know they are all going to have a great year!
