Fresh 48 newborn hospital sessions are some of my very favorite sessions that we offer! These sessions are more intimate, peaceful, and really capture those first details and moments with this precious new life. New baby fingers and toes, hospital tags, bright eyes taking in this crazy world, and parents getting to know the little miracle that they created are some of my favorite details that I strive to document through these Fresh 48 sessions.
We call them “Fresh 48” sessions, because they are typically held within 48 hours of baby’s birth, and it gives mom and dad a chance to “freshen up” (i.e. take a shower, put on makeup, etc.). The new nurses and doctors that would visit the room during this session questioned the fact that this particular mom actually had the baby herself just the night before. She is just gorgeous, and they are the sweetest family! I loved being a part of witnessing big brother and big sister meeting baby W for the first time. Big brother, J, kept saying, “hi baby, I’m your brother”, “I love you baby.” Heart=melted!
